LifeWave Patching Protocols for Laxity of ligaments and soft tissues

On this podcast, Dr. Karen and Dr. Dennis discuss LifeWave patching protocols for the symptoms of laxity of Ligaments

Dr. Dennis Lobstein is a metaphysical doctor.  Feel free to connect with Dr. Dennis or Dr. Karen on Facebook if you want to learn more about the phototherapy patches. You can also book a free consult if you haven’t bought any patches yet and would like to possibly become a customer or distributor. Book your appointment HERE.

Even though ligaments hold joint together, they limit movement. Some people have lax ligaments. There is no such thing as being “double jointed”. It’s just that their joints are hypermobile. That occurs in about 10-25% of the population.

This can become a chronic condition that creates irritation and inflammation and that can result in blockage of Qi and blood flow resulting in chronic pain. That means that the joints can rub and cause degeneration. The joints don’t move in a coordinated way and can cause long term problems. There is an increased range of motion beyond what is “ideal” and normal. The ligaments attached at a vinculum (see below).

TMJ (temporomandibular joint) symptoms, for example, can be a result of ligaments being too loose or too tight, and so the joint gets displaced. The Beighton Score can determine the degree of laxity someone has. Check out the Beighton score of laxity HERE

Dictionary result for vinculum

/ˈviNGkyələm/noun

  1. 1.ANATOMY a connecting band of tissue, such as that attaching a flexor tendon to the bone of a finger or toe.

Prolotherapy is a Western Medicine method to inject the area with various materials to improve the laxity. Western approaches also include surgery, non-steroidal drugs and other types of injections. Isometric exercise is also used to help with ligamentous laxity if you want to increase muscle strength. This one involves no actual movement of the joints but a resistance that stresses the muscle. This is in contrast with Concentric and Eccentric contraction (where there is joint movements). These latter two types of strength training can contribute to more laxity!

How to treat Liver Qi Stagnation from Medications (an aside)

The drugs cause liver Qi stagnation, causing high blood pressure, headaches. The excess liver then attacks the spleen Qi and the blood can jump out of the vessels (in the brain that isn’t good!). So TCM practitioners do not want to promote liver Qi stagnation. Liver 3 is a great acupuncture point for releasing liver Qi stagnation. A great way to release liver Qi stagnation is to use the white IceWave on the right large intestine 4 on the right hand, and tan IceWave on liver 3 on the left foot

You can use the LifeWave IceWave patches often without needing to know to acupuncture points. For example for hammer toe symptoms, you can patch the neck of the big toe. We can put the white IceWave patch on top and the Tan patch on the bottom so that their edges touch and they form a ring around the big toe.

Master Point for Sinews GB 34:

The X39 patches on this point gallbladder 34 may be very supportive of helping ligaments. You can use X39 stem cell patchon the right and the carnosine patch on the left GB34. This is the simplist protocol you can use for ligamentous laxity symptoms.  Try this first!

Shoulder Joint Laxity and/or pain – how to support it

  1. Jian Qian: Top of the shoulder top AC joint running an imaginary line to the axillary fold then half way in between on that line. Jian Qian is the name of the point. If you push here, if it is sore, then use this point.
  2. Small intestine 11 is the back point. It helps regulate the shoulder ligaments. If you put your thumb on someone else under posterior border of the axillary fold, and then middle finger on top of the shoulder and rotate from the thumb as a pivot point, to a middle distance, that’s SI11.

If having pain put IceWave on these points. Usually the White is on the back and the Tan on the front, but you can try either one (use tape to try out the options). You can stack an Aeon on the white IceWave and carnosine on the Tan to amplify the anti-inflammatory and repair effects.

If you don’t have IceWave, you can substitute Energy Enhancer patches or X39/Carnosine.

Spleen energy regulates muscle and keeps blood in its vessels. Spleen 6 is a great point. If you wanted simulate the positive healing effects of Ginseng which regulates energy, then you can use Spleen 6 on the left and Stomach 36 on the right (yin/yang pair). A good combo is to put X39 (relatively yang) on right ST36 and Carnosine (relatively yin) on left Spleen 6 point.

To regulate blood flow you can use Liver 13 and it is the front Mu point of the spleen. It happens to be right above the liver. So you’re regulating blood via spleen and directing it by influencing liver. Putting a white patch on right, tan on left Liver 13. This is if you want to move toxins out of the laxity area (irritation). Heart 5 tonification Horary point – use it between 11 AM – 1PM – also helps with circulation. Right Heart 5 using Carnosine helps to move the blood physically and energetically (to the ligaments) as well.

Points that influences Qi

CV17 with Carnosine helps to open up the chest and it influences the flow of Qi. Blood would follow Qi. If you increase the flow of Qi to the ligaments you are also encouraging more blood flow there.

Bladder 17 is the influential point for blood and it will also help regulate blood flow. It is on the back 1.5 cun bilatteral to thoracic vertebra 7.

Enhancing Proprioception

Proprioception is the ability of the nervous system to tell the brain where the joint is situated in space – there are nerve endings in the joints, tendons, ligaments. The stretch receptors are there. The proprioception can be addressed in TCM using Kidney points. The kidney has influence over the marrow which includes the nervous system. If we want to influence propioception we can use kidney 3 or bladder 23  using Energy enhancers or any yin/yang pair (negative/positively charged) of patches on these bilaterial points. Bilateral means that there is one of these points on the left and right sides of the body.

Traditional Chinese Medicine:
Threading Protocol translated to Patching

In TCM we thread needles. If you do this over a ligamentous area. You can put the positive patch is above and the negative patch is below based on the flow of a specific ligament. For example, lets take the stomach channel. We can put a positive patch on ST36 and a negative patch below ST 44. If the ACL ligament of the knee is loose you could use front points and if the PCL of the knee is loose you could use Bladder points or GB points. Results: Reinforce Qi flow on the channel.

For multiple areas on the body, you can use global points such as GV14 (pos.) to GV2 (neg) on the back of the body, and you’ve got a simulated threading along the Tai Qi pole covering the whole back.

Lobstein Triangle Protocol

This is great for all sorts of symptoms including back pain and for whole body health and Qi support: (Head, neck, Knee issues too in addition to laxity in these areas)

Spinal Curvature Protocol

  • On the “high” side – excess area – you want to sedate this using a negatively charged patch TAN. Rotates Qi counterclockwise and pulls it out. Find an acupuncture point closest to the highest point of the “hump”.
  • On the “low” side – deficiency area – you want to tonify or rotate the Qi clockwise to put it in. WHITE patches on this area.

Special Additional Points to try for Back Pain

Bladder 30 – another great back pain point. Near the 4th sacral foramen before the coccyx. Bladder 40 behind the knee also is good. Bladder 60 on the outer ankle is another great back point. A popular protocol is Kidney 3 on the left (tan) and Bladder 60 (white) on the right will also address proprioception (see above)

Questions: How to protect from 5G?

Question from Nan – 5G stress in the Bay area where she lives. She had pressure in her brain. She said she heard PC6 and TB 5 (from Dr. Sara Allen) that help to release the bad electrical charge. She has X39 and carnosine. Dr. Dennis said to put the X39 on the right triple burner 5 and the carnosine on the left pericardium 6. Inner and outer frontier gates. The PC works more on the emotional level and TB works more on protecting the Qi (irrigation channel like a moat around the castle). Blocking negative Qi from coming in!

Dr. Dennis said he uses a carnosine patch on the back of his phone and changes it monthly so when he touches his phone it activates. Dr. Karen also recommend Earthcalm and EMF transformers.

Dr. Dennis suggests doing the Five Element Patching Protocol to intersperse this protocol so that the body doesn’t get too “used” to the same patching all the time.

Next month’s Ask the Doctors LifeWave Radio show will be on how to protect ourselves from the harmfulness of 5G cell phone radiation. Tune in Monday March 4 2019 on Light Warrior Radio with Dr. Karen Kan and Dr. Dennis Lobstein to learn more!
